Zecharia Sitchin

Sitchin claimed ancient Sumerian texts described a hidden planet, Nibiru, and the alien beings who came from it. Scholars who actually read Akkadian and Sumerian say his translations do not hold up against the real texts, and no astronomer has ever observed the planet he described.
