Beta cards prove you were here first

Every card pulled in testing carries a beta mark, and no launch pull will ever be the same card. It is a real game with real packs and real grades, and what testers report shapes it.

  • Every card pulled during testing wears the beta mark.
  • Beta sets show a badge on their cover in Explore.
  • The plan is that your beta cards stay in your collection.

Welcome, beta testers

CappuPoochie is in testing. The word beside the name at the top of every page says so, and it is there so nobody is surprised later. You are playing a real game with real packs, real pulls and real grades, on a server that is still being built under you. Thank you for that; it is the only way the game gets good.

What that means for your collection

  • There is no guarantee your collection survives the test. A change to how cards, packs or accounts are stored may mean the server has to be wiped and every collection with it. We will avoid it where we can and warn you first when we can, but it can happen without either.
  • Credits, supplies, scores and streaks are in the same boat. Anything held in your account during testing is a test balance, not a promise.
  • Sets that are not beta sets carry a warning on their page and on your collection of them, and their cards may be removed from your collection when beta ends. Beta sets show a β badge on their cover on Explore.
  • Beta edition cards are marked. Every card pulled in testing carries the beta mark on its face. When the game opens for real, sets move to their First Edition and testing cards stay what they are: proof you were here first, if they survive, never the same card as a launch pull.
  • Nothing bought in testing is bought for keeps. There is nothing to buy yet, and if that changes during testing the same rule applies.

What we ask of you

  • Play it the way you would play it for real: rip packs, sleeve, grade, merge, donate, look at everything.
  • Tell us what breaks, what confuses you and what you wish it did. The odd thing you notice in passing is the most useful thing you can send.
  • One account per person. Feeding a main account from a second one spoils the numbers we are testing, and it is the one thing that gets an account frozen.

What happens at the end

The plan is that you keep your beta cards. Testing is one phase, beta, from now until the game opens for everyone, and trading is switched on partway through it. When beta ends, every card you pulled with the beta mark stays in your collection, and so does every zone card, the World Flags you pull in Zone 1 and every card you earn by merging three into one up the zones. Anything else in a collection at the end of beta may be cleared. Beta cards are the proof you were here first; once the game opens they stop counting toward the leaderboards, so the boards start fair for everyone, and no launch pull will ever be the same card. The one thing that could break the plan is the wipe described above, and if it ever has to happen you will be told first.
