Streaks and Streak Freezes
Your streak is how many days in a row you have come by, and it is what carries you through the seven zones. One visit a day keeps it going; a coffee break is plenty. Life happens, though, so the streak is built to forgive a missed day rather than wipe out weeks of climbing.
How the streak counts
Every day you log in moves your streak one day along, and the bar on your profile card fills one segment. Each zone is seven days long; on the eighth day you step into the next one. The last zone, the Great Beyond, has no end. A day is the site's day, so it does not matter what time you come by, only that you come by once.
What happens if you miss a day
- Miss one day and your streak goes back to day 1 of the zone you are in. You keep the zone; you only lose the days you had built up inside it.
- Miss two days and it goes back to day 1 of the zone below.
- Each further day missed costs one more zone.
- Already on day 1 of a zone? A single missed day costs you nothing: you are already at the start of that zone, so that is where you stay.
So one missed day can never send you back to the beach. Falling all the way from the Great Beyond to the White Sands takes about a week of not coming by at all.
Streak Freeze cards
A Streak Freeze covers one missed day. When you come back, the game uses them for you, one for each day you missed, and those days count exactly as if you had logged in: your streak carries on where it was, nothing lost. You can hold up to three, so you can be away three days in a row and come back to the same streak.
- They are used automatically. There is nothing to switch on and nothing to remember.
- They are never wasted. A freeze is not spent on a day that would cost you nothing, such as a single day missed while you are on day 1 of a zone. It stays in your inventory for when it matters.
- Every new collector starts with one, in the starter supplies.
- More are in the Market: 300 Credits for one, or 800 for a pack of three, and like every supply they can be bought with Biscuits instead, at twice the number.
Every card here is earned, never bought. Credits arrive every hour, and the sets are waiting.
