Will it cost to play?

100% free to play. No pay-to-play or pay-to-win, and no paywalls at all.

How do I get new cards?

Daily free Credits to buy new packs of cards. The more consistently you play, the more Credits you earn. No pack ever costs real money.

Can we trade cards?

Yes, and it's likely necessary to complete your collections.

How many cards are in a pack?

Ten cards in a pack from the store, with a chance of a rare card in every pack. A set's free sample pack is smaller.

How is a card's rarity decided?

By scarcity: the fewer of a card that exist, the rarer it is.

Are the cards NFTs?

Nope. There are no NFTs in this system at all.

Are any of the cards AI-generated?

Yes. They're marked accordingly, and you can keep them out of your experience entirely with the AI art switch in Options.

Can I use CappuPoochie on mobile?

Yes, mobile support is part of the plan.

What happens to my cards if I stop playing?

Cards are never destroyed. If an account is deleted, or left inactive for a long time and retired, its cards go back into circulation through the sets' chests and scratch packs, for other collectors to find, as they are or with some wear.

Can artists contribute card sets?

Yes. We'll work with artists one-on-one to create their sets. No money changes hands at any point: they don't pay to submit, and there are no paid packs.

How will you make money?

Two ways, neither of them cards. PRO is $5 a month on Ko-fi: it keeps your streak zone from falling below Gold, and that is all it does. Every card, pack and Credit is earned the same way by everyone. The other is a merch store, coming later: puppy-inspired coffee stuff and coffee-inspired puppy stuff. Some set pages also link to the book a set came from on Amazon; as an Amazon Associate we earn a small commission on a purchase there, at no cost to you.
