Packs and the store
What a pack holds
A standard pack is ten cards from one set. Most packs hold a rare or better as the top card, with commons and uncommons behind it; a few hold nothing above uncommon. Which pack you get is luck. Every card in a pack is a numbered copy minted before the pack was built, so a pack never invents a card: it hands you copies that already existed, each with its own condition.
A sample pack is free, holds a couple of commons and uncommons, and is offered once per set per collector. It is a look at the art, not a way to build the set.
The store
Each set has its own store on its Explore page: the standard pack in ones, twos and threes, and the sample if you have not taken it. A set's price is the set's own; the price and today's remaining count are on the button. Buying is two steps: the shelf button shows a confirmation with the price and what you will have after, and only the confirm button spends.
There is a daily limit per set on standard packs. It is there to keep a set from being finished in an afternoon; the limit resets at midnight, site time. Sample packs do not count against it.
Unopened packs
A bought pack is sealed until you rip it, and the Unopened Packs page shows every pack you are holding, by set. You can hold about two dozen in total; when the shelf is full, the store offers nothing until you open some. Packs cannot be sold. Whether they can be traded is a question for when trading opens.
Opening
Click a pack to rip it: tear the wrapper, then flip through the cards one at a time. At the end, Review my new cards takes you to the set page with the Newest filter on, showing just what that pack added, or Open another if you are holding more. Every card in a pack pays one point of Collector Score.
Sets that are locked
Some sets belong to a zone and only sell to a collector standing in that zone or higher. The store shows them with the zone they need. Keep your streak going and they open.
