Out-of-Place Artifacts
An out-of-place artifact, or OOPArt, is any object that appears to predate or outpace the technology of the culture it was found in. The term covers everything from genuine unsolved puzzles to outright hoaxes like the Coso Artifact, a label for a type of mystery rather than proof of any one explanation.
