Crystal Skulls
Several quartz skulls surfaced in the 1800s and 1900s claimed as pre-Columbian artifacts of mysterious power. Every one subjected to modern testing, including the famous Mitchell-Hedges skull examined at the Smithsonian, shows tool marks consistent with 19th or 20th century lapidary equipment, not ancient craftsmanship.
