Tassili n'Ajjer Cave Art

This Algerian cave art, 12,000 to 7,000 years old, includes large, round-headed figures a French archaeologist nicknamed the Great Martian God in 1958, the same researcher who openly believed in ancient alien contact. Most archaeologists today read the figures as ritual or shamanic imagery rather than literal visitors.
