The Mary Celeste

Found drifting and completely abandoned in 1,872, its cargo, food and crew's belongings still aboard, the Mary Celeste has never had its missing crew's fate explained. One leading theory holds the captain mistakenly abandoned a perfectly seaworthy ship after a false alarm, and the lifeboat was lost in the storm that followed.
