Crude Quarterstaff
The quarterstaff, a plain wooden pole about two meters long, was a favorite English fighting art. In the Robin Hood ballads, Little John knocks Robin into a stream with one. This Crude card is where every weapon starts. Three of the same weapon merge into the plain version, one rung up.
