Val Camonica Rock Art
Among roughly 300,000 engraved figures in this Italian valley, a pair of carvings nicknamed the astronauts show round-headed humanoid shapes. The site spans the Stone Age through the medieval period, and most of its figures are plainly ordinary scenes of hunting, farming and daily life.
