Tunguska Event
A massive explosion flattened 80 million trees across Siberia in 1908, with no crater and almost no casualties in the sparsely populated area. Scientists attribute it to a meteor roughly 50 to 60 meters wide that detonated in the atmosphere before ever reaching the ground.
